Guardian Angels

by

Have you ever wondered if you have a guardian angel?

I know I have one and his name is Dan. He has dirty blonde hair, searing blue eyes and a smile and laugh that is beyond contagious. He was my best friend for many years and tragically his life was ended in his early twenties in a fatal car accident. I’ll never forget that day. It was devastating to get the news and I can remember that day like it happened yesterday, even though it’s been a couple of decades. I believe Dan has been with me, around me and guiding me on my life journey ever since his death. He gives me signs to let me know he’s there and it gives me comfort to know that even though he isn’t physically here, he is still a part of my life. In fact, he’s become such a natural part of my day to day routine that I can’t imagine him not being there.

I get subtle and not so subtle answers to questions I pose to him. I ask very specific, time bound questions. The answers come to me in different ways. For example, I may ask him a question and see the answer on a license plate on the car in front of me. I may ask him for an answer and he comes to me in a dream while sleeping and shows me the answer or I will look at the clock and the time will be his birthday. The more open I am, the more he communicates. It really has been a process of learning how he communicates and listening and watching for the signs.

If you have a sense there is someone around you, perhaps a loved one that is deceased, nurture that relationship because from my experience it’s been a wonderful adventure of getting help and guidance from beyond.
